Homemade winders
With the blackberries we had collected we made Fruit winders.
You need:
500g blackberries
500g cooking apples
150g honey
juice from 1 lemon
Greaseproof paper
Method:
(1) Peel, core and chop the apples. Put them in a saucepan with the blackberries and lemon juice. Simmer until they have turned into a pulp.
(2) Sieve the fruit to create a smooth puree. Then add the honey and stir well.
(3) Divide the mixture between 2 lined baking sheets, spreading it out evenly and thinly.
(4) Cook on the lowest setting until the fruit has dried out and comes off the paper easily - this took several hours.
(5) Cut into strips.

muffin pizzas
Today for supper we made Muffin pizzas.
I cut muffins in half and fried some mushrooms. The girls chopped some pepper, halved baby tomatoes and olives and ripped up Mozzarella.
They then spread their muffins with tomato purée and a bit of ketchup and then added their toppings. We then cooked them under the grill for about 5 minutes.

Blackberry picking
We walked along the roman road (the linton side of the All) where there are lots and lots of brambles and enjoyed the warm sun and picked blackberries where we all got stung and pricked and ate far more than we picked!
