Today, following the instructions in our Whizz Pop Bang magazine we made a solar Oven. We wrapped 2 boxes in tin foil (a small one with a large one) with the smaller one having a black base. We popped out biscuits inside, wrapped the whole thing in cling film and left outside!
The girls loved their biscuits.

Lammas Land
Today, as it was super hot, we went (seemingly with the rest of Cambridge) to the paddling pool.
Then the girls had a play on the equipment.

Clip n Climb
Today the girls went to a new climbing place opened in Cambridge called Clip n Climb. There are 20 different climbing challenges, some of which the girls climbed easily, others they didn't complete or found more tricky!
The whole experience from booking through to the visit was stress free and well organised. Even the food, although we didn't try it, wasn't over-priced!

Our Cornish holiday
We spent a fab week in Cornwall - we had amazing weather, swam in the sea and enjoyed some trips out!
We enjoyed the Eden Project and their fab (slightly scary!) dinosaurs
We enjoyed trips to the beach. Our local beach was less busy than the near by Porthcurno beach but had no life-guard and large waves - but was amazingly beautiful.
We did also visit Porthcurno beach and Senen Cove.
We really enjoyed a trip to Nanjizel beach with its amazing sea tunnel and rocks to jump in off!!! But is a walk from anywhere.
We also had some fab trips out to St Michael's Mount;
The Minack Theatre,
a walk to Lands End;

Featherdown farm Stay
On our way down to Cornwall we had a weekend stay at a Featherdown Farm -
Lower Rodhuish Farm, Exmoor. The husband was in his element fire making, I loved the peace and quiet, the girls loved the big field, the stream and the animals! We enjoyed hanging about on the farm.
We also went for walk on Exmoor to the Tarr Steps (which is a 17 span clapper bridge), starting in the small town of Dulverton (about 40 minutes from the glamping site).

This afternoon, after a morning of gymnastics and a play at the park, we went to the Fitzwilliam as part of Summer at the Museums.Today we clay sculptures.
We started off looking at the bronze sculpture by Henry Moore, titled Hill Arches
which is outside the museum. We also found some small works by Moore inside.
The girls then created their own work of art from clay.
